Somatic Therapy

Somatic Therapy is a body-centered approach to healing that focuses on sensation, movement, and nervous system regulation rather than solely on cognitive processing. The body holds memories of stress and trauma within its tissues, and true healing requires an approach that is felt deep within—down to the bones and resonating in the heart. By tuning into bodily sensations rather than just mental narratives, somatic therapy helps individuals process trauma less overwhelmingly, creating a foundation of safety and resilience over time.
Our nervous system is key to how we experience and respond to life. When dysregulated, we may feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, hypervigilance, or shutdown. Through delicate practices such as guided self-inquiry, intuitive movement, and breathwork, we'll work to restore balance to the nervous system, allowing for greater ease, emotional stability, and the capacity to engage with life fully. This work integrates seamlessly with yoga therapy, offering a deeply embodied approach to healing.
